Love U

In acknowledgment of Valentine’s Day this month, I painted candy Sweet Tarts. I like painting reflections for added interest. However, I’ve decided painting on small 6x6 and 5x7” hardboards are not the best for what I want to accomplish. I’m going to change back to 8x10” linen boards, it’s an extra expense for me but worth it, I feel.

My Valentine’s Day was topped off with my 33-year-old son bringing me a dozen white roses. I took many photos of them so there could be a white rose painting in the works. I like to paint from real life but also from photos if real life has wilted.

Red Cup Green Tea

The Big Bang Theory’s scientist Sheldon Cooper says, “Social protocol states when a friend is upset, you offer them a hot beverage, such as tea.”

It seems like many people may need a hot beverage right about now. It’s been an icy winter in Seattle with a recent snowstorm. Although beautiful, some may have overdone playing in the snow, like me. I’ve heard of people falling on the icy streets and many with the flu. I fit into that flu category as well. Also with politics and our Seahawks not making it to the Super Bowl, it’s been rough. On a more positive note, I’m very proud of Seattle and the State of Washington for the recent developments in the political arena.

So wherever you live, I’m agreement with Sheldon Cooper and offer this hot cup of tea to ease the tensions of the times. I loved painting the teabag!
